The information
that appears on this site is the result of a
combined research effort by a dedicated group of
Hobler descendants. Without such collaboration
this website would not have been possible and
thus sincere thanks are extended to all.
To
begin, I would like to thank and acknowledge my
own extended family who are descendant through
James Francis Helvetius Hobler's great
granddaughter Agnes. Their attention to detail
and passion to preserve familial history has
provided a rich tapestry of information that is
now slowly being woven into a strong gene-fabric.
I
would also like to thank Liisa Hobler, Glynis
Turner, Royalene Anderson and Mary L. Patch who
have contributed greatly in respect to their
individual Hobler & associated family lines.
Special thanks to Liisa for assistance with the
Hobler line and to Glynis for her extensive notes
on the Turner family.
A
special mention is paid to John W. McCoy whose
dedication to Swiss research continues to
extended the family tree further into the past.
Finally,
I would like to acknowledge the extensive
research carried out by Ocker Creelman and his
family in the late 1960s early 1970s. It is
Ocker's pedigree trees and his transcription of
George Hobler's diaries which have inevitably
yielded such a rich and valuable historical
resource.
Please
note that contributions are always welcome.
Research is ongoing and this site will be updated
as and when applicable. Descendants are welcome
to make contact and/or to share their own branch
of the tree.
Thank
You
